I enjoyed reading this book!
I was surprised at the suspense and emotion involved in the story.
I was impressed that the author could make you see different perspectives and that good triumphed in the end.
I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

The Promise of an Angel
By Ruth Reid

This was a very good book and I enjoyed reading it. Although at one point I almost gave up on the story, and put it aside. I was reading more between the lines and thought that an act of fornication had been lightly passed over. Our society has few scruples and laughs at purity. God expects more of us as Christians. We have forgotten that he is ever aware of our thoughts and actions.

This was a complicated plot, showing many of the characters attitudes and reactions.  I particularly enjoyed the loyalty shown by one of the main characters with little evidence shown. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series scheduled to come out in April 2012.

On the cover the reviewer mentions Dickens' style.

This book tells of the meanness and cruelty of owners for

their workers-- apprentices and slaves.

The story is very compelling and draws you into it.

I was appalled at the cruelty depicted. I am so thankful that

it is illegal in this nation to own another person.

Ms. Elliott is a very talented author. One thing I appreciated was the way she brought out that sin has consequences. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this Saddler's Legacy series.

A fresh look at one of the most recognized faces in American History.

This author has a way of describing General Washington that draws you into the story. I am so thankful that he has written this book to present the facts of our first Presidents life, instead of trying to belittle him or bring out any flaws, just to elevate our opinion of the self-serving politicians that we so often encounter today.

One thing that the author brings out in this book is that Mr. Washington was a man of prayer. All too often this fact is overlooked.

A nice feature of this book is the artwork. My favorite picture of Mr. Washington is of him kneeling in prayer at Valley Forge.

I thank God for the Father of our Country -- General George Washington!

Neat!

Strike It Rich With Pocket Change
by Ken Potter and Brian Allen

This is a neat book with many illustrations and information about
casting errors and other reasons why some coins are worth much
more than their face value.

I have always been interested in pocket change, now I will be able
to know more about it! Another thing I like about this book, are the
stories about how much people got for their change.
